Martello Proms 2017

On Saturday, 14 October 2017 the Band performed its annual Prom Concert, this year taking place as an afternoon event starting at 2.30pm, in Seaford Head School in Arundel Road. The event attracted a large audience who applauded appreciatively to the performances. The theme was musicals and included Richard Rogers Medleys and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The second half included traditional favourites such as ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and ‘Sussex by the Sea’ where the audience sung along enthusiastically and waving their flags.

Performers from Seaford Musical Theatre joined the band this year and gave delightful renditions of songs from musicals including Annie, Evita and Les Mis. It was lovely to see such talented young people who added joyful variety to the afternoons’ entertainment.

The band would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and dedication including selling programmes, advertising, selling raffle tickets, providing refreshments etc. They are very much appreciated.
